Privacy Policy

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information — your email address, and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile identifier Google provides (a unique account ID). We use magic-link email or Google Sign-In; we do not receive or store your Google password.
• Content you submit — the topics, descriptions, learning level, and style choices you enter to generate songs, and the songs, lyrics, and learning maps created for your account.
• Payment information — when you buy a song pack or unlock a song, payment is processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of the purchase and limited transaction details, but we do not collect or store your full card number.
• Usage and device data — pages viewed, actions taken (such as generating or unlocking a song), and standard technical data like browser type, approximate location derived from IP, and referring links (including marketing campaign tags).
• Cookies — including a signed authentication cookie that keeps you logged in, and analytics cookies (see section 6).

We use information to:

• Create and deliver the songs and learning materials you request;
• Provide, maintain, and secure your account and library;
• Process purchases and prevent fraud and abuse;
• Send service-related email (such as magic links and important account notices);
• Understand how the service is used so we can improve it;
• Enforce our Terms and comply with legal obligations.

We do not use the content you submit to train third-party AI models beyond what is needed to generate your requested output through our providers.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate Sing Me Smart, and only as needed for them to perform their function:

• Google — Sign-In (authentication) when you choose it;
• Stripe — payment processing;
• Resend — sending magic-link and account emails;
• AI and audio providers — to generate lyrics and synthesize song audio from the topic you submit;
• Cloud infrastructure and storage — hosting, database, and file storage for your account and generated files;
• Analytics — product analytics to measure usage (see section 6).

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users' safety, or in connection with a business transfer (such as a merger or acquisition).

We keep your account information and generated content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. We retain purchase records as required for accounting, tax, and legal purposes. You can request deletion of your account and associated content as described in section 7.

Sing Me Smart is intended for use by adults, including parents, teachers, and other educators. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If a minor uses the service, a parent, guardian, or authorized school should set up and supervise that use. Please do not submit personal information about a child or student that isn't necessary to create a song. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We use a signed, HttpOnly authentication cookie to keep you logged in — this is essential for the service to work. We also use product analytics (PostHog) to understand pageviews, sign-ups, song generations, and purchases so we can improve the product. Analytics data is tied to a pseudonymous identifier and usage events. You can limit cookies through your browser settings, though some features (like staying logged in) require them.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to or limit certain processing. To exercise these rights, email hello@singmesmart.ai. You can also:

• Log out at any time to end your session;
• Unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the link in those emails;
• Request deletion of your account and generated content.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Sing Me Smart is operated from the United States, and our providers may process data in the U.S. and other countries. By using the service, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The version and effective date at the top of this page will change, and material changes may be communicated by email or in-product notice.
